Tele(your)vision deals with the terms "derealization" and "depersonalization": a psychological disorder that occurs as an accompanying symptom of perceptual disorders, anxiety states or even traumas. The affected person experiences the feeling of detaching from his "I" and no longer being completely part of reality. The choreographer and performer Sarafina Beck, herself a sufferer, has chosen the form of a danced, cross-space and cross-media performance to depict this very condition and thus dares to attempt not only to confront the audience with it, but also to let them participate in it.
The public showing is intended to give the artist the opportunity to test her approach live in a reduced setting before the production is brought to the premiere.
Trigger warning: Showing takes place in open space, direct physical contact may occur. There are flickering/flashing lights/screens. Fear and eeriness are thematized.
