When we think of bubbles, we think of rising soap bubbles, bursting chewing gum bubbles, bubbling water bubbles, bubble tea and circles of friends. In this participatory dance project, together with the young people taking part, we explore the latter, the beautiful and problematic aspects of so-called "bubbles" as homogeneous social spaces: the sense of security and belonging that they offer, but also demarcation and exclusion. While there are still individual, self-contained bubbles at the beginning of the evening, these dissolve completely at the end of the piece in an exuberant, wild party. Choreographically and theatrically, we explore the possibilities of permeability between bubbles and create utopian spaces in which people from different backgrounds meet and dance together.
The event is free of charge, registration is requested.
