RAPACT: ILHAN44 (BERLIN, POLIZEIUNFREUNDLICHER RAP)
DJ PHLTR (BERLIN)
DJ VERYCOZI (ZÜRICH)
DJ SABRINA OBERLIN (LAUSANNE)
Ilhan44 (Berlin)
Ilhan44 is one of the few rappers in Germany who addresses political grievances with great urgency and anger. In the last two years, he has released two EPs and made a name for himself, especially in Berlin. In Al-Azif and 110 he describes his childhood and youth in Neukölln, which was marked by poverty and exclusion as the son of immigrant parents. One senses his anger and despair at the omnipresent racism, police violence and social conditons. Ilhan44 focuses his debates mainly on police violence. He addresses right-wing networks, unsolved murders, the processing of the NSU and the attacks in Halle and Hanau. His own biography also flows into the perspectives of his EP 110. Ilhan44 refuses to simply accept the place that society automatically assigns to him without fighting it. He has proven himself that things don't necessarily have to go the way they seem at first glance: «I've dealed, I've fought - and now I'm on stage reciting poetry.»
Verycozi (Zurich)
Verycozi is not only one of the most promising DJs from Zurich, but also a booker and organiser of her own event series. Her musical roots in DJing lie in hip & hop and r'n'b, but she is now also known for her cross-genre sets, from cozy intros to dazzling closings.
Sabrina Oberlin (Lausanne)
The Swiss Fairy Sabrina Oberlin is here to make you dance! With her Fagbulous Sun, their Island Gyal Moon and her Techno Rising – Sabrina is ThatBitch.com.org.ch.
Once you taste the Brina Flavor, prepare to reach the stars !
Die neue Unsicherheit – Disco Edition is a series of talks by Fatima Moumouni. Concept: Insecurity in conversation. After that, there's dancing. This time Daniel Riniker and Sabina Aeschlimann from #BigDreams will be talking about the case of Brian, which has been exploited in the media as the «Carlos» case. Brian was and still is in Swiss prisons under conditions that violate human rights - fuelled by a media campaign that macho-denounced a Swiss soft justice system. Institutional violence, racism, police violence and abolish the police?, that's what we discuss, followed by nodding heads with Ilhan44 from Berlin and then dancing, dancing, dancing with Verycozi and Sabrina Oberlin, okay?
If you just come for the music, get your ticket at stall 6: It's a soli-price-system, where the suggested price is CHF 15.-
