Inspired by radical science-fiction, Wet Songs is an experimental musical created by Nina Santes and her collaborators, that will emerge in 2025. This project explores the fluidity of our bodies of water, dissolving boundaries and binaries. We envision a hydrous community where separation and extraction narratives are challenged, and where we create potions to re-irriguate our dried-up affects.
During El Caldo, all together we will grow the hydrous community. On the first day, we will focus on the pleasurable possibilities of our bodies in their watery states. On the second day, we will practice deep listening to make space for our wet dreams. On the third day, we will use our voices to touch and be touched in a damp choir.
