Follow us through this experimental anti-performance, into a space that invites to rest. The event is dedicated to book lovers and built around texts written by Black trans disabled and queer artists about talking about intimacy. This literary experience reveals what happens when the body allows itself to say and be "nothing", an attempt to the impossible, since it can never really be outside the gaze, and therefore never rest. We acknowledge that resting is a practice of physical, emotional, psychological vulnerability and as well a privilege. This collective experience challenges the representations of rest by imagining it on dissident bodies. We hope to forster a safer space in, which our audience can indulge in networking, exchanging and/ or simply resting. Momentum will also be given to the book release of “Slayeth Love” the latest publication by X_Collective_X in collaboration with many Queer Black artists from all around the world.
