Poesie ist kein Luxus brings together three young Swiss literary activists bent on transforming silence into words, actions and poems.
The authors share an approach informed by queer and / or postcolonial perspectives, each evolving their own vivid textuality in novels or poems that tell of nascent sexualities, shifting genders, surging desires. The chords generated by this writers’ ensemble make gender / class / race determinism obsolete, replacing them with notes that ring free, welcoming improvisation and casting all decorum aside.
