In MATRIX, an experimental 40-minute sound collage by Leyla Yenirce, people, machines and non-binary cyborgs report from a decolonial and queer-feminist perspective on a state of emergency and their life before and after. The Matrix, Latin for uterus or mother animal, captures these voices and places them at a safe distance of 1.5 meters into an auditory grid through which they would otherwise fail due to their social positioning. But not in MATRIX - here people speak, shout, call and protest together or remain silent in silence, practice mindfulness and wash their hands.
The two performances Don Jegosah & Fathoeburger the story behind a story and Leyla Yenirce Matrix take place directly after each other and can only be booked as double bill. Admission to the event is at 21.00 hrs, no later admission possible. The two artists will already give a concert on Thursday under the name One Mother.
TRIGGER-WARNING: We would like to point out that violence is reproduced in this sound collage.
